Throughout time, cultures have created stories warning us to be careful about what we wish for.
Wishes have consequences, just like anything in life, and to pretend as if that is not true is simply ignorant.
Despite the numerous cautionary tales, humans continue to wish without the concept of the repercussions that come with it.
That is where TABI Cat Curiosities come in, feeding off the insecurities of people while selling an idea of a quick fix to all of your problems.
The Archive has done an extensive investigation into the company, and yet, it has been one of the most difficult cases we have stumbled upon. There doesn’t seem to be a cover up or a corrupted CEO, but rather something far more sinister.
For this case, we must first explain that our research team had to invoke help from The Operator, as there was a severe lack of a paper trail tied to this company. We must also share the same advice that The Operator provided to us while investigating the case:
“You cannot just wish for a better life. You must embody it first.”
PART I: Who Are You?
Who is TABI Cat Curiosities?
They are the company responsible for the infamous One Wish Willow novelty toy, one that we are sure many of you are familiar with. Like the Magic 8 Ball of the past, the One Wish Willow promises a mystical answer to all your problems.
You make your wish, you snap the stick, and your wish will magically come true. It is not unlike any other toy or novelty based on the idea of magic; take Zoltar for example, the animatronic that grants your fortune with the simple transaction of a dollar.
The difference, however, is the debate about the One Wish Willow’s authenticity. At first glance, one would assume it to be a gag gift. It is obviously fake, with the concept of magic being gone from the adult’s mind. On the other hand, we may think of it more as a children’s toy, as kids will always believe in the magic they are told to be real.
But the One Wish Willow is different.
It is not that the adults do not believe and the children do, but rather that testimonies suggest it is real no matter who you are.
As suggested from many online forums, the One Wish Willow is highly debated on its claims. Some say it is not real at all, but others swear by it.
One user claimed her mother was always ugly, but then wished to be beautiful, and her wish was granted.
But if it is true that a simple toy could grant such wishes, how exactly does it work? And, furthermore, who is TABI Cat Curiosities and how do they have the means to make it happen?
The Archive first went into this all with surface level research.
First, we visited their website. There are no traces of an “about” section for the company.
With that dead end, we then called the company’s phone number, which connects to the One Wish Willow hotline. Unfortunately, we were not able to connect to a representative as they were “busy” with other wishes.
Finally, we attempted to email them for more information. They provided no comment.
That is where The Operator comes in, as The Archive seemingly hit a dead end with all other sources. There are no company addresses, LinkedIn pages, or even ex-employees to be found for TABI Cat Curiosities.
The report he returned was not what we expected.
PART II: You Only Get One Wish
There was one case of the One Wish Willow we missed. Or, perhaps, it was purposely hidden. Either way, The Operator was able to uncover the files for us to share with you all.
Nikkie Freeman was admitted into inpatient psychiatric care a few months ago.
Her case remains unsolved, but her story involves the deaths of three people. Despite there being “evidence” of her being involved, she vehemently claims she is innocent.
And that is where this all comes together.
Crime scene photos show evidence of a One Wish Willow being present when Freeman was found by the police. Surrounding her were three dead bodies, all friends of the victim.
They all died in vastly different ways, with two ruled to be homicides, and one a suicide.
One was seemingly beaten to death, one was shot with a gun, and one overdosed.
The Archive is not here to claim Nikki Freeman is the killer. There are plenty of documentaries and true crime podcasts that do that.
Instead, we are here to expose the truth.
Nikkie Freeman is innocent. That is fact, without a doubt, as confirmed not only by our research team, but also by The Operator himself.
In fact, we are certain the police know this too.
Their files show they had a search warrant for TABI Cat Curiosities, in which they were given any recorded calls for the investigation. One call comes from Baron Bailey, the suicide victim.
Below is the transcript from the recording:

Customer Support Call Transcript
Bailey: Um, hello?
Customer Support: Hey. What’s up?
Bailey: Um, is this One Wish Willow?
Customer Support: Yeah.
Bailey: Uh, okay. Um, I was calling to see if there’s a way I can alter a wish.
Customer Support: You’d have to cancel your wish.
Bailey: No, no, no. It’s okay to keep the wish. I just want to know if I can alter it a little.
Customer Support: I’m sorry. We don’t really do that.
Bailey: No?
Customer Support: If you have any questions about how the wish works or if you read the back of the box—
Bailey: Is it even real?
Customer Support: Yeah, it’s real.
Bailey: No, I know— is her love real?
Customer Support: Just because you chose this for her, doesn’t make it less real.
But what would be of the police if they were to confirm this? They would be a laughing stock, putting faith into a magical stick and blaming it all on a company selling a toy.
It would be outrageous, just as it was when the Senate blamed violent video games for similar behaviors.
The police needed a fall guy, and it is much easier to say a mentally ill woman killed everybody than to say a borderline stalker using a magic stick did.
The reason The Archive brings this all into question is not just to expose corrupt officers or dangerous one-sided love interests, but to once again ask where TABI Cat Curiosities is in all this.
Do they get away with selling such dangerous tools? What is stopping someone from wishing for a genocide or an apocalypse? What measures, if any, or taken from preventing even larger scale issues?
The Archive must assume none. Afterall, they don’t wish to be known. They sell you a product. They disappear.
PART III: Wishes are Irreversible
TABI Cat Curiosities is only part of the problem.
They act as the stand-in for the life coach, selling courses to the insecure. For $500, the pick-up artist can teach you how to get your first date. For $700, the career coach can teach you how to land the job of your dreams. All you need is motivation, inspiration, and hard work.
But these are all optional. Sure, they prey upon people down on their luck, but they are not forcing anyone to do anything.
Susie doesn’t have to buy the course. Neither does Jose. They still do.
Some blame it on the marketing. Others blame it on the faux persona of the salesperson.
At the end of the day, one must accept that they are just as much of a problem.
You cannot pay hundreds of dollars to solve your life problems.
If a man wished for one million dollars by the One Wish Willow, he would get that money. He may even be classified as rich for a certain amount of time. The issue is that he never found the root of why he lacked the funds in the first place: financial illiteracy.
And so, he spends the money on materialistic items. He buys a new house, a new car, and new clothes. He gambles. He vacations. In only a year or two, he is broke again.
He did not invest anything. He did not pay off any debt. He did not teach himself how to handle the money.
He put no work into himself, and therefore, his wish was meaningless.
He now owns useless cars that depreciate. He owns five pairs of the same pants. His house is being evicted because he can’t pay the mortgage or property taxes.
In the same breath, how can one expect a YouTuber’s classes to solve your stardom? Why pay for an influencer course, when you can’t even teach yourself how to get on camera.
As Søren Kierkegaard said, “A wish is a form of option, but to will is a choice which involves action and reflection.”
You must have the wisdom of yourself to have your wish come true. To grant the wish you want is to simply act on it.
There are no easy ways out, because often, the easy path leads to the worst pain.
CONCLUSION
There are no quick fixes.
No simple and easy life hacks.
That may sound harsh, but The Archive believes it is the best thing we can say about this entire case.
What does life become when we rely on what comes easy?
With no friction, there is no living. There’s no pride, no joy in what you create. There’s no moment of looking back at all the work you’ve done.
A wish granted from magic is unfair not only to the people around you, but also yourself. You refuse to give yourself the real magic that comes from building and growing something.
The only thing we can leave you with is a warning.
Do not buy a One Wish Willow.
