The Slasher Archive is not here to create comfort, nor is it here to create chaos.
The Archive was created to make you feel seen.
Inside The Archive’s vault is thousands of case files, all relating to one core topic: horror.
We don’t necessarily see horror as a genre.
Our founder, The Operator instead insists that we treat it as a tool. It is not here to scare us to death, but rather to scare us to keep living.
Our company philosophy is to use horror as a way to expose the systems all around us. Whether it be corporate greed, corruption of power, or societal downfalls—horror has always been the loudest in defying authority.
Often times, humans must face the uncomfortable to obtain growth. We stay stagnant if we are not challenged, allowing intrusive thoughts to win the battle.
But horror has always been the tool that helps us.
Horror is there to cause that discomfort. It is there to make us question our systems, our psychology, and our very reality.
We are not here to guide you, nor are we here to provide typical horror movie news.
We are here to make you feel seen. To feel like you belong.
In a world where everybody screams into the void, we hope that we can provide a space for you to feel heard.
Each week, The Archive selects a file for public access, exploring topics ranging from '80s slashers to modern psychological horror. Skyla, our archivist, examines how these cases relate to the cultural systems of decay around us.
What Does Archive Access Get You?
Observers have access to the public archive.
Our archive is available for free to the public. We believe in providing our library as a resource to those wanting to open their minds to the horrors that plague us. After all, everybody deserves to feel less invisible.

However, we do offer higher clearance to other files hidden in our vault.
Personnel with an active membership will receive:
Jump Scares, which features our archivist, Skyla, in a more relaxed and cozier setting, ditching the corporate coldness of The Archive’s voice. Here, you’ll feel like you’re talking to a friend about whatever is going on in the horror-sphere instead of worrying about analysis. Podcast episodes will be every other week.
The Open Line with The Operator, a monthly transmission for personnel offering Q&As, history about The Archive, and cosmic stories.

Field Personnel will additionally receive:

The Field Office
Want to receive something from the field?
The Field Office is a separate mail club where The Archive sends physical case files directly to your mailbox.
Members can expect things like letters, exclusive reports, postcards, stickers, mini art prints, and other archival evidence.
The Field Office will be a monthly membership through Ko-fi, so you don’t need a paid Substack membership to join. More details will be coming soon.
